ASX newbie

Today the share market was very erratic and did not head in the direction that I expected.[Oh for a crystal ball.] Fortunately my stop loss [For information on "STOP LOSS" see article in "SHARE TIPS"] did not kick in as my two stocks I had to sell just stayed where they were and did nothing. Which means no profit today and just as important no loss either.Tomorrow is another day.

One interesting thing I saw in the news today was that Woolworths [ ASX code WOW] has been buying large number of hotels through out Australia. Obviously not content with starting up discount bottle shops such as “Dan Murphys” They want to control the hotel side as well. This means that indirectly due to Poker Machines being in the hotels ,they will have, via the back door, access to the “Gaming Industry.” Makes you wonder where their tentacles will reach next??

One thing for sure this will affect the share price accordingly and that is upwards. I am afraid that their share price is a little out of my league at the moment.But will watch it with interest.Until tomorrow ,have fun and profitable trading.
